About the BEHAVES Academy
Our founder, Shelley, is a hybrid communications-strategist-turned-behavioural-scientist, with a bit of instructional design experience thrown in as well. And she’s not alone – on our team, we all seem to love to turn our hands to acquiring and collecting lots of skills. One of our big strengths as a team is that we bring the following three strands together:

After completing her master’s degree in behavioural science, Shelley really wanted to find a way to share what she learned in an accessible way.
Our Mission
In fact, our mission for the BEHAVES Academy is to share our passion for behavioural science with anyone who’s interested.
We looked and looked for a course that was:
- Pragmatic and truly applicable
- Designed to be used to influence internal, organisational human dynamics, for change and comms issues
- Scalable
- Reasonably priced
And…we couldn’t find anything that we felt fit the bill.
That’s why we built the BEHAVES Academy: we wanted to make behavioural psychology less lofty and theoretical, and more pragmatic.
We wanted to put it in the hands of everyone – but especially those we’ve worked with most in our other work: namely, those working in change and communications. And we wanted to share it with our clients as part of our consulting delivery work.
